Basic First Aid and Disaster Management Training (Red Cross)

Members of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints actively participated Basic First Aid and Disaster Management Training (Red Cross) last April 9 and 10, 2024. This two days training equipped participants with knowledge and skills about basic first aid, emergency response and disaster management continuum, early warning systems, hazards and disaster, etc. through the expertise of the dynamic instructors and facilitators. Hands-on activities were executed by the participants such as bandaging and lifting. Red Cross 143 was also introduced during the activity.

Red Cross 143 is a community-based volunteering program of the Philippine Red Cross where one leader and a minimum of forty three (43) members form part of an active corps of capable, caring, and committed individuals. RC 143 promotes a culture of self-help in the communities by developing a formidable network of Red Cross volunteers who will predict potential risk, plan, prepare, and practice for effective community based disaster risk reduction. (For more information, visit the official website of Philippine Red Cross).

The event was organized by Red Cross through Bro. Marshan Moralita, Dasma Stake Public Affairs.
